VCOSS-Monash IT Industry Experience Projects 2014

Would your organisation benefit from a team of skilled final year IT students improving your IT systems?

Monash University is once again partnering with VCOSS to provide an exciting opportunity for VCOSS member organisations looking to develop a tailored IT system in 2014.

Monash has been successfully running IT industry experience projects with small businesses for over 30 years, and more recently through VCOSS, with not-for-profit groups.

Feedback from not-for-profit organisations has been very positive:

“[Our project] consisted of developing a community website for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Communities. Throughout the project [the students] worked hard and showed professionalism, commitment, were very dedicated and achieved great results. The students had the support and guidance of a coaching team at Monash through their supervisors and tutors who communicated well with us, reflecting the high-calibre education that Monash provides.”
– Springvale Community Aid and Advice Bureau
While the services of the IT student team are free, the organisation must plan to provide their time and are responsible for costs associated with hardware, software, internet service providers and post-project maintenance.
