Adopting a human rights based approach – Advice for Boards of disability service providers
Boards have a critical role to play in creating a human rights culture within their organisations. This brief 15 minute video explores the what, why and how of adopting human rights based approaches. It includes interviews with people with disability, a CEO and Board Members. It is designed to start a conversation around human rights at your board. It will challenge you to ask:
- What more can my organisation do?
- What more can my board do?
- What more can I do?
This video is also available online and a limited number of additional hard copy DVD’s are available from NDS Victoria.
This project was managed by NDS. A state specific online training program was developed for service providers in both Victoria and NSW. This project is supported by the Victorian Government, NSW Industry Development Fund and NSW Government Family & Community Services Ageing, Disability & Home Care.
