Opportunities to Improve our Understanding of Engaging with the Lived Experienced Workforce: Seminar 2

July 3 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

| Free

The theme for the work of the Victorian Mental Health Social Workers Practice Group (VMHSW) for the rest of 2017 is ‘New and Emerging areas of Social Work Practice in Mental Health.’

The practice group are kicking off with a series of three evening seminars on ‘Opportunities to Improve our Understanding of Engaging with the Lived Experienced Workforce’.

Each session will have a brief presentation by a worker with a lived experience, leading into a discussion with a reflective practice approach to this important area of work. The paradigm is changing in the workplace and social workers are uniquely placed to support and assist in the progression of this work. While our work is aimed specifically at social workers we will be opening these sessions to Lived Experience Workers who may not be social workers.
